Christmas Fayre Fun

This week, we were excited to host our annual Christmas Fayre for parents and friends of the school. We had many stalls on the day including personalised cards from Holly Class and crafts made by Ash Class.

Willow Class had also made some beautiful tree decorations, and Jason had his own stall where he sold his book, ‘Torrential: Among Us’. Gartinny Nurseries were also present, selling their festive wreaths and plants, along with Chrysalis who had set up a stall selling baked goods.

We were fortunate to have the Focus School Choir come in and sing some festive songs for us, and by the last song they had everyone singing along!

Jack then also sang us a song before playing a beautiful version of ‘Carol of the Bells’ on the keyboard.

Then it was time to announce the winner of our Christmas Outfit competition!

Gail and Graeme Fotheringham won best dressed parent !

Lynsday and Karen won best dressed staff!

Sam won best pupil jumper for his Star Wars themed jumper!

Following this, our Raffle winners were:

Denaun’s Gran won the Hama Beads Grinch Design made by Birch class.

Jackie won the Christmas cake, which she then donated to the school to have with their lunch on Thursday.

This week we also had our last assembly of the year!

Jack started ‘Look, Listen, Speak’, this week by singing ‘All Falls Down’ by Alan Walker. Lucy then had some announcements for us. Our assembly mascot, Alex the dog is going to the vets over Christmas, but he will be back with us in the New Year.

Today we also said goodbye to Daksha, Lauren and Julie. We thank them all for their hard work with us and wish them the best.

We also sang happy birthday to Sharon, who was 40 on December 23rd!

We had 6 Star Awards to give out this week:

Jack received his star award for enjoying spending his time with his peers and sharing the Wii!
Jack and Jason got their awards for selling their own books at the Christmas Fayre!
Kamran for selling hot chocolate at the Christmas Fayre!
Sam for being a caring individual and inviting pupils from different classes in to play the Wii!
Cameron received his star award for being a confident individual and going on the bus to see Santa!

And lastly, we would like to wish everyone happy holidays, from all of us at New Struan School!
