Rory Hoy Special Access Film Club
Frances-Anne O'Carroll
Recently, we were joined by Rory Hoy at Access Film Club for a special screening of his film, Autism and Me. Written and filmed when he was 18, Rory takes us on a journey through his everyday experiences of living with autism, from understanding idioms to learning to wave hello, he shows us how he understands the world.
After the film, Rory, a multi-award winning Music Producer/Film Maker and DJ hosted a Q&A session, which included his family too. Then, everyone headed over to the Project Cafe in Glasgow where Rory treated us to a special 30 minute DJ set!
It was a really great night and we'd like to say a huge thank you to Rory for joining us. His film was inspiring and it's wonderful to see that he is pursuing his love for music. You can read more about the event, and also the work we are doing with the Glasgow Film Theatre, by visiting the Creative Scotland website.
Rory also made a video following his experience at Access Film Club, which you can watch below!
