Central Area Services
Help us to continue to provide specialised equipment to enhance the lives of those we support
We have a number of day and vocational services across the Forth Valley area, each offering a unique experience for autistic adults to learn and develop new skills, while participating in their local community.
Kinnections Social Group
Within the Central area services, we have an established social group called ‘Kinnections’. This is a free group for autistic adults to meet in community locations and participate in social activities that may not normally be available to them. The group has been running successfully for several years already.
‘Kinnections’ is facilitated by Scottish Autism staff who enable and encourage friendships, new opportunities and the development of confidence and independence. As autistic people can sometimes become isolated and withdraw from social situations, everyday life can sometimes become difficult. Groups like this are a huge step towards tackling this all common issue.
Watch our video with Eddie McInnally, Senior Autism Practitioner, who facilitates the group to find out more about how your continued support makes a huge difference for autistic individuals to attend groups like this.
We hope to raise enough to cover the £6,885 annual cost of providing this beneficial social group. Would you be able to support us?
Please get involved and show your support by donating or taking part in your own fundraising activity for the Central Area services.
