Hot - Emma's Blog June 2017

Emma Stanley

I am happy to see the good weather has finally arrived! I am enjoying the weather although I am finding it a bit tiring but I am not sure if that is the weather or me. I am enjoying this weather eating loads of ice cream, especially dairy milk Mcflurry. When the sun is shining it makes me feel happy and it makes me do my work faster as I want to be out there sitting on the step. I am drinking loads of water because it makes me feel hydrated and less thirsty when I go to bed. I am not sure what the rest of the guys think but I am finding it a bit hot at bedtime, but I use a thin duvet or a thin blanket to help keep me cool.

On Saturday the 17th of June I went to BT Murrayfield stadium to do a tour of the stadium. I have always wanted to do the tour of Murrayfield since I found out that I can get my Support Worker in for free, that was the best thing about it and she has kept her ticket for it too! I enjoyed getting the train as Haymarket station is close to Murrayfield and the trams were brilliant as it was only one stop! My favourite bit was walking down the player's tunnel, we couldn’t get onto the pitch because they had limed it to make sure come February that the pitch is ready for the six nations. It looks immaculate green that you see on the telly. I enjoyed hearing the history about the Calcutta cup and about how Scotland invented the sevens for the Olympics. It was el scorcheo and I found it a bit hard going but I continued going. After the tour had finished we went to a pub near Haymarket station. It was quite reasonable put it that way. I found Haymarket station a lot easier to use than the old station as they have a proper booking office now and they have done away with the WHSmith, mind you they have a Marks simply food. They have re-organised the booking office and they have barriers now which makes it a lot easier to get into.

Hope it cools down and see you next month!
