Special Access Film Club with Kate Dickie
At this month’s Access Film Club we welcomed special guest Kate Dickie, star of The Witch, to join us for a screening of the film and a post-film discussion about her experience of starring in it.
The Witch follows a Puritan family living in 17th century New England who are forced to encounter the terrifying powers of evil when their new baby disappears and their daughter is accused of witchcraft. Kate played the role of Katherine, the mother whose baby is taken.
After watching the film, the audience listened keenly as Kate discussed the creation of the film and the background and research that took place pre-production. She also talked about how she got into acting and how she finds life as an actress.
The special screening brought in our biggest audience yet, with over 40 people attending! We would like to say a massive thank you to Kate for coming along and to everyone who attended the screening – it was a great night.
