Swim For Autism
Take the plunge to help autistic people and their families!
Swim For Autism
Our Swim 5K in May is now complete! Thank you to everyone that took part, helping to provide vital support for autistic people and their families across Scotland.
What: Swim 5K - You could break this down into lengths at your local pool or if you like cold water swimming outdoors, track your swim distances with an app like Strava on your phone by using a waterproof case.
When: Between 1st and 31st May 2023
Where: Indoors or Outdoors - Swim at your local swimming pool or outdoors in a loch. Swimming in cold, open water can be a risk. Click here or see below for some resources and advice about swimming in open water if this is how you would like to complete your challenge.
Sponsorship Target: Raise over £500 in sponsorship to receive your very own Scottish Autism hoodie - (New merchandise and not available for sale yet)
You could even get the little ones involved with a 1K swim challenge of their own.
By choosing to support Scottish Autism, the funds you raise can enable autistic people and their families to receive vital support via services like the Autism Advice Line and online support programme, Right Click.
I would like to say how much it helped me to have someone to talk to during a period of time where I was struggling. There was always understanding, reassurance and compassion shown and I really appreciated that.
